Hydra Warriors is a dragon boat team that raises money for local non-profit organizations. We are a group consisting of men and women from the South Jersey area. Besides having a great time while participating in dragon boat races, our mission is to raise money for local charities. Paddles up!

Hope Afloat, USA - Survivors & Supporters

Hope Afloat Survivors & Supporters is comprised of paddlers from Hope Afloat USA Breast Cancer Survivor Team and their families, friends and supporters.

Ithica Gorges Dragons

Ithica, NY

Ithaca Gorges Dragons is part of the Ithaca Dragon Boat club. It was founded in 2004, the only dragon boat team in Upstate New York. We host Finger Lakes International Dragon Boat Festival on the beautiful Cayuga Lake.

Metro Athletic Dragons

Flushing, NY

Metro Athletic Dragons is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We were established in 1997 as one of the pioneers of dragon boat racing in the United States. Our paddlers have competed all across the world, domestically in cities such as New York, Boston, Washington D.C, Hartford, Tampa Bay, San Francisco, etc. and internationally in Hong Kong, Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, Rome, and Macau. Our mission statement: To instill discipline, hard work, and camaraderie among our members to achieve mastery and success as a competitive dragon boat team.

This team consists of some of the finest and most dedicated professionals, of all ages and backgrounds, MSK has to offer. Our professional coaches strive for excellence, while teaching the team the art of Dragon Boating. Pennsylvania Dragon Boat Club

Pennsylvania Dragon Boat Club (PDBC) is an 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to building a community around the sport of dragon boat. The team promotes healthy lifestyles, develops team managers and coaches, and teaches members how to be role models to others. Although our focus is dragon boat, our philosophy emphasizes the development of members as athletes and as successful individuals in their lives outside of the team. PDBC’s mission is to train and develop paddlers to be their best on and off the boat and to act as role models within our Philadelphia communities through the sport of dragon boat.

We are a mixed team of Law enforcement, Fire department, with some civilian professionals sprinkled in. We have been around since 2001 and compete every 2 years in the World Police & Fire Games

Pottstown Athletic Club (PAC) is a 501c nonprofit multi-sport Youth / Family Athletic Club. We offer a variety of fitness programs to Pottstown families and those of surrounding communities. For over 25 years this club of athletes has defined ourselves as a value-driven socially responsible organization. We recognize the ability we possess to take control of not only our lives but to help others empower themselves and change their lives. Our formula is simple, through athletics, we provide opportunity and support to those looking to change.

Team Ba-ku-na-wa is a community team made of former Filipino cultural dancers (and family and friends) who have known each other for over 40 years. We have fun paddling just like we had fun dancing. And we are always eating! The Ba-ku-na-wa is a mythical Filipino serpent-dragon who caused eclipses by eating the moon.

Against The Wind

Against the Wind is Philadelphia Flying Phoenix Women’s Dragon Boat Team breast cancer survivor (BCS) crew.   We were the first BCS dragon boat crew on the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia. Founded in 2001, we are strong survivors ranging in age from 30 to 80+. We are lawyers, nurses, teachers, occupational therapists, doctors, coaches, moms and grandmothers. We have in common the journey that is breast cancer and a passion for the sport of dragon boating.

The Golden Warriors are the 60 year and older members of the Philadelphia Flying Phoenix Dragon Boat Team.

This our fourth year as a dragon boat team. We all love to compete and give it our all on the river. Most importantly we have fun in all that we do on and off the river. We all believe that if you're not having fun with Dragon Boating than you must be doing something wrong. We are Pittsburgh’s Hearts of Steel Dragon Boat team comprised of all breast cancer survivors. We are foremost sisters and survivors, but we are also fierce competitors.  We race to WIN.   We practice three times per week in the shadow of the “City of Champions” skyline.   Our team is three years young and we are making our mark on the dragon boat community.  Last year at this event, we placed third in the Women’s Division.  This is a great event and super venue.  We are excited to be back. 

Relentless Women Premier

New Hope, PA

The Premiere Women's Team is a competitive team that enters 4 races a season at the sports team level. We practice twice a week during the season and participate in off season training activities. Our practices take place on the Delaware River at our "home" in New Hope, PA. Our group proudly promotes friendship, camaraderie and a passion for the sport of dragon boating.

River Sisters

Pennsauken, NJ

The River Sisters are a diverse group of cancer survivors of various ages and backgrounds, athletic abilities and fitness levels. We have gained a passion for the ancient art of dragon boating and we meet weekly between May and October at the Camden County Boathouse to paddle on the Cooper River. We have fun as we practice and compete in various dragon boat festivals each season. Our mission is to raise awareness about all kinds of cancers and to show others who are weakened by the struggle of cancer that there is life after this disease. We started out as strangers with only our disease in common. Now we are a floating support group of women who want to share our passion for life with other cancer survivors, their families and friends. We encourage all women living with cancer to look to a future filled with strength, enthusiasm and hope.

River Goddesses is a competitive sports team that is committed to empowering women to become stronger through paddling and encouraging personal growth. We provide challenging paddling training, competitive races, engaging social activities and charitable opportunities which are all geared towards building inner strength, creating team camaraderie, and helping empower future generations of women. The River Goddesses Team proudly works with an international Non-Profit organization called Peruvian Hearts. The Goddesses have pledged to sponsor and mentor Monica in her 3rd year of college majoring in Elementary Education.

The Witches of East Greenwich V

East Greenwich Township, NJ

Team Bio: The Witches of East Greenwich V is excited to return to the CRDBF for the 4th year in a row! We are one of 10 teams that paddle in the Independence Dragon Boat Regatta in Philadelphia yearly. The Witches strive to educate about the benefits of dragon boating, and, while empowering ourselves, we also fundraise to help empower others in our community. We select two local charities to support every year and also award an annual scholarship to a high school female who embodies the Witches’ spirit.

20+ members of The Witches of East Greenwich coming together under the name The Witches of East Greenwich's Wicked Oars. We paddle to spread magic to the local charities in our community.

We are returning Community Women's Gold medal winners from last year and we have participated since the beginning. We are one tough group of women!

Viking Dragons

Ventnor, NJ

We are a community team that practices hard twice a week on the Ventnor Bay. We enjoy beautiful sunsets and wonderful friendships. Coach Shelley got us started in 2016 with initial practices on the side of a pool (not a paddle pool). With a strong connection to Gilda's Club South Jersey, we concentrate on supporting cancer patients and their families.

Wonder Witches

East Greenwich Township, NJ

A boat comprised of women from different boats of the Witches of East Greenwich Dragonboat team! The Witches of East Greenwich was founded in 2009 by Megan Heyer when two all female Witches dragon boat teams, from East Greenwich Township, NJ competed in the Philadelphia International Dragon Boat Festival. Word of the Witches spread like wildfire with more people wanting to get in on the fun every year. Our membership has grown to 10 dragon boat teams comprised of 230+ WICKED women all from our community! Look for us in June at the Independence Dragon Boat Regatta in Philadelphia! In addition to empowering ourselves, we also fundraise to help empower others our community. We select two charities to support every year and we also award an annual scholarship to a high school female who embodies the Witches spirit. In just eight years, the Witches organization has raised over $126,000 for local charities! The Witches of East Greenwich is a 501c-3 non profit organization.
