Pottstown Dragon Warriors

During the winter of 2012 Pottstown Athletic Club developed a dragon boat program named Pottstown Dragon Warriors. This program initially developed as a way to build club “esprit de corps” Since then the team has grown significantly, many who started as youth are now adults and the team has moved from novice to seasoned competitors. PDW is always looking for individuals interested in this amazing paddle sport - no experienced required. PDW trains year around and is a fantastic fitness alternative to just going to a gym. Warm weather training is on water, as the winter months arrive we continue our training indoors with the only indoor paddling pool in the USA as well as dedicate state of the art paddle machines linked to computers to duplicate on water racing conditions.

Bucks County Dragon Boat Association is located in New Hope, PA with teams practicing on the Delaware River and Lake Luxumborg in Newtown, PA Team Fear is an amazing combination of 24 fearless men and women who came together this year to paddle as one. This is Fear's first competition of 2018 and they have worked long and hard to get ready for today. BCBDA Team Fear is ready and excited to race at this beautiful venue.

Empire Dragons NYC

We know how to Survive & Thrive beyond cancer. Founded in 2009 by Donna Wilson, James Lozada, and Jennifer Merendino, Empire Dragons NYC is New York City's first and only breast cancer survivor team comprised of members from throughout the tri-state area. In addition we are one of the 150 breast cancer survivor teams worldwide that serve to promote the sport of dragon boating as part of a healthy lifestyle and provide a unique support for those fighting cancer. Empire Dragons is an active member of the IBCPC, International Breast Cancer Paddler's Commission. Although many of our races are IBCPC sanctioned,there are several races during our season which we also include members with all types of cancer. We are a competitive racing team,and during our season, we participate in up to six dragon boat festivals in the northeastern United States and Canada. Empire practices several times a week at the World's Fair Flushing Bay Marina, and the team also meets on and off season for physical training and cardio fitness. Empire is dedicated to empowering women to survive beyond cancer.We work to improve the environment in which we all live,as well as promoting exercise and nutrition as means towards a healthy and fulfilling life.

Pathways Team SOS

Team SOS is a BCS team, comprised of survivors and supporters, racing together and supporting each other for more than 10 years. The team practices on beautiful Lake Parsippany, NJ and is looking foward to racing in Waikato, New Zealand, in the IBCPC Dragonboat Festival in 2022.

Philadelphia Flying Phoenix Golden Warriors is a women's team ages 50 and above from Philadelphia, PA. We practice on the beautiful Schuylkill River and have qualified for the Club Crew World Championships in August of 2020

We are Pittsburgh’s Hearts of Steel Dragon Boat team comprised of all breast cancer survivors. We are foremost sisters and survivors, but we are also fierce competitors.  We race to WIN.   We practice three times per week in the shadow of the “City of Champions” skyline.   Our team is three years young and we are making our mark on the dragon boat community.  Last year at this event, we placed third in the Women’s Division.  This is a great event and super venue.  We are excited to be back.

River Goddesses - Soul

RIVER GODDESSES MISSION & VISION - 2020 River Goddesses is a competitive sports team that is committed to empowering professional women to become stronger through paddling and encouraging personal growth. We believe that women should cultivate themselves to become stronger on the inside and out. River Goddesses strives to offer women the best dragon boating experience in the Philadelphia area. We provide challenging paddling training, competitive races, engaging social activities and charitable opportunities which are all geared towards building inner strength, creating team camaraderie, and helping empower future generations of women. River Goddesses raise funds for Peruvian Hearts, a non-profit that empowers girls in need, living in Peru. They provide mentorship, boarding and education to help these young women transform their lives to become strong, confident leaders who will break the cycle of intergenerational poverty and pay it forward. River Goddesses values their members and encourages achievement of their goals both on and off the water. We work together to support each other with a desire to excel as a team.

River Sisters

The River Sisters is a diverse team of cancer survivors of various ages and backgrounds, athletic abilities and fitness levels. We have gained a passion for the ancient art of dragon boating and we meet twice weekly between April and October at the Camden County Boathouse to paddle on the Cooper River. We have fun as we practice and compete in various dragon boat festivals each season. We encourage all women living with cancer to look to a future filled with strength, enthusiasm and hope.

Schuylkill Dragons - Purple

The Schuylkill Dragons is a women’s dragon boat team whose members are committed to supporting each other in building healthy bodies and spirits, promoting team spirit and a willingness to work together, learning to compete at their best, and introducing this fun sport to others.
